LiveWell OU Programs

WeightWatchers (WW)

WeightWatchers (WW) focuses on eating what you want, with a daily budget of points and each food is assigned a point value. However, there are many foods that are zero-point foods, which means you can eat these foods without the food affecting your daily points budget. Get a glimpse of the WeightWatchers Simplified Plan

WW members can attend workshops in-person at WW studios, virtually, or participate online only through the WW app. In addition, LiveWell OU also subsidizes a portion of the employees’ WW membership fees when they join through the OU WW portal.

Full Plate Living

Full Plate Living follows the principles of adding more whole plant-based foods to your diet. One of the keys to success of the Full Plate Living program is to have plenty of fiber. Full Plate Living is not a diet, it’s a change in your eating habits for a better life.

Full Plate Living Nutrition Programs are now available at no cost. Visit the Full Plate website for more information and to join for free.

Visit the OU Fit + Rec Full Plate Living website for available instructor-led sessions.

Biometric Screenings

Know where you stand with your health and receive detailed insight from certified staff and an OU Health Physicians provider on what you can do to improve your wellness. On-campus biometric screenings conducted by the OU Health Physicians Corporate Health and Wellness team test your cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure, and body composition and are available at no out-of-pocket expense to OU faculty and staff covered by the OU Cigna plan (this does not include the OU Student Health Plan). If you do not have insurance through OU and would still like to participate, the biometric screening team can process alternative insurance. Please note, any amount not covered by a non-OU insurance plan will be billed to the patient.

For your safety, the appropriate measures and guidelines consistent with OU Health Physicians COVID-19 policies will be strictly adhered and enforced. Employees from any campus can make an appointment. Biometric screenings do not test for COVID-19.

Mammograms

Mammograms are one of the most important health screenings for women. Regularly scheduled mammograms are one of the first lines of defense in preventing or detecting early breast cancer. Mammograms are offered at the Health Sciences Center by The Breast Health Network and their mobile mammogram units make regular visits to the Norman and Tulsa campuses.

Flu Shots

Annual flu shots are vital to maintaining health during cold and flu season. Part of the university’s commitment to wellness for its employees are the annual flu clinics that are available on each campus by the College of Pharmacy and Goddard Health Services.
