Vision Care Plan
Employees may participate in an optional vision care plan from VSP by paying the monthly premium. There is a standard vision plan and a premium vision plan. Both vision care plans provide coverage for prescription lenses and frames, contact lenses (in lieu of eyeglasses), and a complete annual eye exam. Under the plans, you can visit an optometrist within the VSP network or you may choose to visit an out-of-network provider, which may result in higher out-of-pocket costs.
Premium Vision Care Plan
Compared to the Basic VSP Plan, the Premium Plan offers several enhanced benefits.
- Lower copays on exams and glasses.
- More frequent purchase of new glasses.
- Higher allowable covered costs on glasses or contacts.
