Human Resources Policies

This page is intended to make HR policies and guidelines easily accessible to supervisors and staff. It is not inclusive of all University policies, practices, or procedures. Individual departments may establish additional policies or practices specific to their operational needs.

Human Resources has the authority to interpret Human Resources policies and reserves the right to change, amend or terminate any of its policies at any time for any reason, with or without notice. Under no circumstances are the statements contained in these documents to be considered a contract of employment, an obligation, or guarantee on the part of the University.

Section Background
3.10.5 MILITARY LEAVE University employees are state employees and can receive 30 work days of military leave rather than 30 calendar days given employees of political subdivisions.
3.10.9 LEAVE TO DONATE BONE MARROW OR ORGANS The University is required to provide leave under Title 74, Section 840-2.20B - State Employees - Leave of Absence for Donations
3.11.2 FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE ACT (FMLA)

Replacing procedural language with statement of University responsibilities.
Replacing statement that employee cannot work while on FMLA with requirement to follow

University policies regarding outside employment while on FMLA.
Removing language requiring recertification every 30 days.

5.3.1 REQUIRED ATHLETE AGENT DISCLOSURE Added disclosure requirement for any staff or faculty who are Agents (as defined by the Oklahoma Uniform Athlete Agents Act, 70 §821.81) or affiliated in any way with an Agent.
3.11.2 FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE ACT (FMLA) Reorganized and updated with clarifying language. Removed redundant language.
