The University of Oklahoma pays the cost of Plan II for qualified Graduate Teaching Assistants and Graduate Research Assistants.  To qualify, a student must:

  1. Meet the enrollment requirements including enrolled in a minimun of 6 credit hours in the fall and spring semester or 3 credit hours in summer semester for summer only coverage. The minimun credit hour requirement will be waived if you are in your last semester before taking your thesis or dissertation and you need fewer than six hours to graduate.

  2. Be appointed to a 50% FTE or greater position and;
  3. The appointment must be approved by the Graduate College.

Options

When enrolling online, you can choose additional options including adding a dependent and upgrading to Plan I

Dental Option

Qualified Graduate Teaching and Research Assistants may participate in a voluntary dental insurance plan offered through Delta. Premium for the voluntary dental plan is fully paid by the student.
