Student Health Plan Requirements

Students are eligible for coverage if they are:

  • undergraduate students enrolled in at least nine credit hours during the fall and spring semesters (or at least three credit hours if purchasing Summer Only coverage);
  • graduate students enrolled in at least six credit hours during the fall and spring semesters (or at least three credit hours if purchasing Summer Only coverage);
  • graduate students enrolled in at least two thesis or dissertation credit hours;
  • students that are not enrolled in full-time credit hours, but have a documented disability, and have successfully petitioned the university for full-time status;
  • non-immigrant international "J" Scholars;
  • non-immigrant international students taking credit hours are automatically enrolled unless a waiver is granted;
  • other groups as specifically designated by the university.

Students who withdraw or graduate from school should notify the Student Health Plan Office within 48 hours of their change in status. If you are not considered a student anymore, you are not allowed to be seen at Goddard. There is an exception made for students who are not enrolled in the summer semester but did complete the spring semester.
