Professional development empowers employees to gain skills and knowledge, for both personal achievement and career advancement. Open-enrollment workshops are offered at the Norman, HSC and Tulsa campuses to provide employees with opportunities for development. Communicating effectively is key to being successful in a professional work setting. It is also important in maintaining healthy personal relationships. This workshop helps participants discover their communication style, practice listening instead of just hearing, and learn tips for communicating effectively at work. The OU Leadership Council is a group of campus leaders chosen each year to participate in a year-long series of leadership development opportunities. Applications are currently closed for the Leadership Council program. Find more information about the OU Leadership Council here.

Lyndi Zavy is Assistant Director of Learning
& Organizational Development. She develops and facilitates programs and
leads this HR area in meeting the organizational development needs of
university departments. She also serves as the Director of HR for the
Matt Ferree is a Senior Training Specialist. He designs curriculum on subjects such as leadership, communication, and teamwork. He presents professional development workshops for all three University of Oklahoma campuses.
Bridget Hulet is a Training Specialist. She develops and presents professional development workshops for all three University of Oklahoma campuses.
Jessica Strebeck is a Training Coordinator who plans and implements the logistics for all programs offered by Learning & Organizational Development.
