About IFSSWho we are…The International Faculty and Staff Services (IFSS) is located within the Office of Human Resources. The staff assists the academic and administrative departments at the University of Oklahoma in obtaining and maintaining the appropriate immigration status for the employment of international faculty, scholars and staff. We are better able to achieve our mission when we create a learning community that brings together the best that the world has to offer. The IFSS group is critical to that effort. Vicky Martin and Olga Baumgardner work across the University to support its mission of bringing the best and brightest to our institute. What we do…The International Faculty and Staff Services (IFSS) support is intended to help the University of Oklahoma fulfill its research, instructional, and outreach mission. Foreign visitors add greatly to our nation's cultural, education and economic life. The International Faculty & Staff Services is here to assist you throughout your stay with our institute. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance. We work with our sponsoring departments to ensure that our international guests and workers have the proper immigration status according to their business activity. While every reasonable effort is made to provide you with guidance with job-related immigration concerns, help cannot be provided for personal or family immigration matters and may be further limited by staff resources and institutional priorities. We urge you to become involved with your new community and campus activities. The effort will provide you with lasting personal and professional friendships.
