Student Health Insurance - Norman
When you enroll in the Student Health Plan, you get to choose Plan I or Plan II. Plan I covers more of the cost of your care, so you pay less from your own pocket. Read the "Guide to Understanding the Plan" in the links on the right to get all the details. OU encourages you to enroll in Plan I because it pays more of the cost for Covered Medical Care and services than Plan II pays. Although coverage costs more under Plan I, it has much better coverage and a much higher maximum benefit. Both Plan I and Plan II cover many medical services available at the on-campus Goddard Health Center. The Student Health Plan also pays for many services not available at Goddard. Both plans help make medical care more affordable, because they include a network of medical providers—called the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)—that have agreed to charge reduced rates for medical care to people covered under the Student Health Plan.
