When logging into The Work Number, your User ID is your Social Security number and your Password/ PIN is your date of birth in the format MMDDYYYY. You will be asked to register and change your password the first time you log in.

The Work Number allows our employees to have their employment and salary verified within a matter of minutes at no charge to them. This fast, secure service is used for mortgage applications, reference checks, loan applications, social services applications, and apartment leases; anything that requires proof of employment or income. It is quick, secure, and easy. The Work Number is a service of TALX Corporation. Verifiers print the requested information directly from The Work Number web site at
www.theworknumber.com
or get it voiced and/or faxed if they access the system through an 800 number.
What other businesses and universities use The Work Number?
The Work Number is the industry standard for confidential employment and income verifications. How does the Work Number get my employment and income verification?
Human Resources partners with The Work Number to provide this service free of charge. The Work Number uses information available from HR records. All aspects of these transactions are protected and secure.
How is my income information protected?
You are in control of the income verification process. Only you can authorize individuals or businesses to see your income information by creating a Salary Key. Click here to find instructions for

What if I prefer to make a Salary Key over the telephone?
You can access The Work Number by telephone at 1-800-367-2884. If you use telephone access, your password must be all numeric characters.
