OU employees of all three campuses are eligible for Magellan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits. In-person counseling sessions are offered to employees and their household members for issues such as alcohol and substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and marriage and family concerns. Other services offered by the EAP include work-life services, TeleEAP coaching, legal and financial consultations, and web-based confidential care.
Staff and faculty may self-refer for help or can be referred by a supervisor. If a supervisor notices an issue with an employee that is affecting their work performance, they may refer the employee to the EAP. Any employee who calls the EAP based on a supervisor referral is still entitled to confidentiality; the supervisor will not receive any information other than confirmation that the employee did keep their appointment.
