Temporary Employees

Welcome to our guide on hiring temporary employees! Whether you're looking to fill a short-term gap, manage seasonal workloads, or bring in specialized skills for a specific project, hiring temporary staff can be a strategic solution. Please follow the steps below to hire a temporary employee like a PRO!

A. Preparation

There are different types of temporary appointments, each with varying specifications. Please click here to determine which appointment you will need for your hire.

B. Recruitment

Depending on the type of appointment you have selected, you may have (or decide you want to), the position to be posted on jobs.ou.edu. At the very least, the individual will require a Taleo Profile and a Background Check.

C. Onboarding

  • Congratulations! You have selected a finalist and are ready to bring them onboard! New hires must complete paperwork to receive an Employee ID number and have their Hire ePaf submitted. To complete the onboarding process, please follow the steps outlined on this page.
