Eric Sourie, HR Advisor for Employee Relations
Eric has returned to OU as the HR Advisor for Employee Relations. In this position he advises members of the university community on employment law, university policy, performance management, and staff dispute resolution. He also provides learning and development opportunities for university employees.
Eric is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and has served over seven years in Higher Education Human Resources with experience in compensation, employee relations, and training and development. He was recently Director of Organizational Development and Training at Oklahoma City University. Before that he held positions in OU Human Resources.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Langston University and a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), serving on the state board since 2008. He is the current Oklahoma Chapter President.
Eric has presented for various professional associations, colleges, and universities about performance management, workplace ethics, generational diversity, leadership, management, and employee engagement, motivation, and recognition. Eric serves as an adjunct instructor in the department of Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma.
